Basketball team wins AISA Basketball Tournament

Last Friday the Varsity basketball team participated in the Annual AISA basketball tournament at Yokohama International school, and came back with excellent results. On Friday evening, the Symbas played two games back to back against Seoul's Tigers and Osaka's Sabers, winning both games and placing first in their pool.

Artscape Master Class at Sacred Heart

On Saturday Steve Tootell gave a 3 hour clay Master Class in the pottery room at Sacred Heart. Students from 5 Kanto Plain schools attended and the results were amazingly creative. The Artscape group are offering 7 Master Class workshops to all high school students over the next 3 weeks.

Fun Run 2017

The students are getting excited to show off their running skills, so please join us for the annual Parents' Board (PB) Fun Run Saturday, February 25th from 10:00-12:00. The participation fee is ¥500 and all funds raised will go towards supporting Sacred Heart athletic programs as well as those in need in Japan.



Nepal SEEDS Trip 2016-2017

For more than 10 years Sacred Heart has supported SEEDS (Social, Environmental, Educational, Development Services) Nepal, a non-profit organisation, by supporting their projects including their hot lunch program, biogas systems, and earthquake rebuilding efforts.

After months of preparations by the International School of the Sacred Heart SEEDS Nepal team, they embarked on the 5th SEEDS trip to Nepal in December 2016. The SEEDS team of 2016-2017 included Erika A., Madeline, Inga, Mia, Karen, Naya, Yoshimi, Erika L., Ms. Pomroy, and Mr. Felstehausen. They went with an objective to observe and assess development project work and to deepen the relationship between Sacred Heart and the people of Nepal by experiencing the culture and environment.

A Student and Parent Ensemble Recital
We will be hosting a special music recital on Friday, February 3rd in the Duchesne Room, from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.. This event is aimed at highlighting the talent and hard work of our students, parents and teachers, and will feature mostly chamber music groups (duets, trios and quartets).
Hot chocolate, homemade treats and winter accessories will be on sale in the kiosk prior to the concert. Looking forward to seeing you there.
