STUDENT PROFILE


The International School of the Sacred Heart is a private, English-speaking Catholic school providing an international education from Kindergarten through Grade 12. The school offers a co-educational Kindergarten program, but is a girl's only school from Grades 1 through 12.

The student body represents approximately 50 nationalities. Almost 100% of ISSH's yearly graduates go on to matriculate at their first choice college or university, mainly in Australia, Canada, India, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Grade 11 and 12 students at ISSH have the opportunity to take courses in the Advanced Placement (AP) Program. The APs are college-level courses that give students the opportunity to earn college credit or advanced standing at most colleges and universities in the United States. The APs are also recognized as entrance qualifications for universities in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Students at ISSH are prepared to take examinations in the following areas: Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, English Literature, European History, United States History, French, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Advanced Pottery 3-D, Studio Art, and Art History (done as an independent study).





The theme for the 2010-2011 school year is "Be Aware, Show You Care" which is based on Goal #3 "A Social Awareness Which Impels to Action"
