Governance

The heart and soul of ISSH is shared with and similarly articulated by five other Sacred Heart schools in Japan and 150+ schools across the globe. It is an international school within a Japanese branch of a global family.
The International School of the Sacred Heart (ISSH) is a member of the Sacred Heart School Corporation in Japan. This Corporation is one of the primary works of the Japanese branch of the NEANZ (North East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand) Province of the Society of the Sacred Heart, an international Catholic congregation of women religious known as RSCJ (Religieuses du Sacré-Cœur de Jésus). The Society's mission is to discover and make known God's love through the service of education. RSCJ and non-religious women and men serve on the Board of Directors/Trustees and the Board of Councillors.
ISSH's governance structure reflects our position as a member of these groups—we are fortunate to be a member of so many organisations within the Sacred Heart family, which allows our students and faculty access to a broad and deep range of opportunities and resources.
