True to our motto, Sacred Heart students constantly demonstrate courage and confidence through taking on new challenges. We are proud to share that many of our students between grades 1 and 6 participated in the Japanese Sakura Medal Book Review Contest, hosted annually by The International School Japanese Teachers' Association, and that 11 were selected as finalists.

Three ISSH high schoolers visited the Obayashi Sacred Heart School in Hyogo, connecting with peers from fellow Sacred Heart schools to participate in the annual SOFIS summit, this year focusing on “The Current State of Hate Speech, Xenophobia, and Support for Foreigners in Japan.”

Through activism, awareness-building, and fundraising, ISSH students raise nearly 1 million yen for causes that are important to them, embodying Goal 3, "A Social Awareness that Impels to Action."
