Last week, the High School students attended a presentation by Mr. Anshu Gupta on the importance of clothes as a basic human need and on his project 'cloth for work', led by his non-profit organisation, Goonj in India. They allow locals in rural villages the opportunity to participate in dignifying work to earn clothes. Most organisations focus on shelter and food but, Mr. Gupta taught us about the significance of clothing and how it is not being addressed as much as it needs to be. He emphasized that a little bit of cloth can go a long way, in both improving lifestyle and in raising the morals of these local villagers.
