MS and HS Volleyball Symbas Kick Off the Season with a Roar!

The wait is officially over—our Symbas volleyball season is underway! Our athletes have been pouring endless energy and sweat into practice, gearing up to make this season be the best one yet.

Varsity Symbas officially kicked off the season on our home court against CAJ on 4 September. Despite putting up a relentless fight, the girls unfortunately took a hard loss to open the season. The energy in the gym was high, and while the score didn't go our way, our Symbas' commitment on the court was undeniable. 

Every setback is just setting up for a comeback, and come back our Symbas did! With hard-fought victories against Seisen (3-2) and KIST (2-1) on 12 and 14 September respectively, the girls are just getting started! "We are dialed in and working harder than ever," the team manager, G12 Marissa, commented.

Our JV Symbas are on fire this season, with three straight wins! They defeated CAJ 2-1, Seisen 2-1, and KIST 2-0 over the past two weeks. 

MS A Team won a smashing victory against CAJ on 5 September, winning two great sets full of cheers and laughter. "The win was a great way to open our season," shared Grade 8 team member Lina. The team lost to Nishimachi on 9 September, but bounced back with spirited win against KIST on 12 September. 

MS B Team defeated CAJ 2-0 on 5 September, and went on to claim victories against Nishimachi (2-1) and Seisen (2-1) on 9 and 12 September respectively. "We were all very proud of our performance and we are preparing for the upcoming games this season," commented G8 team member Ella.

MS C Team came from behind, beating CAJ 2-1 on 5 September. They didn't let a loss to Nishimachi on 9 September set them back, and defeated Seisen 2-1 on 12 September. "Overall, I’m proud of how our team stayed positive, supported one another, and had fun," shared team member G8 Lola.

We are proud of our girls for their tireless effort and grit on the court! Stay tuned for more as the Symbas continue to fight through the season. Our upcoming games are against Yokota, Zama, and TIS for High School and Aoba, ASIJ, and YIS for Middle School. Go Symbas!
