Middle and High School Clubs

Clubs in middle school and high school allow students to pursue specific interests, spread awareness of particular issues, learn new skills, and meet friends who share similar interests. In middle school, clubs relevant to student interest are established by faculty and then presented to students at the beginning of the school year so that students may sign up.

In high school, clubs are initiated and established by students themselves, fostering leadership skills and giving students' firsthand experience with real-world communication and organisation skills. After ideating a club, purpose, and activities and gathering members and a faculty advisor, high school students pitch their idea to the Student Council and then are approved to operate for the current school year.

Club topics range widely, from hobbies, sports, and arts to social impact and community service to industries like medicine and finance. To learn more about club topics in each area, check out the relevant pages at the links above.

Kindergarten and Junior School After School Activities

A wide variety of after school activities are offered for Kindergarten and Junior School students—from Irish dancing to chess, from basketball to heritage language, there is something for everyone! After school activities may be offered by ISSH faculty and staff, or by external providers. The focus of these clubs is fun and enrichment; they focus on building skills, learning new things, developing teamwork and collaboration, and making new friends.
